About Elisabeth
I do not believe there is a language too difficult to learn given the right motivation and input. I would not have thought 10 years ago I would be confidently speaking 6 languages, and understanding 4 more languages, yet I have caught the bug of love for languages and I want to share it with others. No language is easy, and starting with grammar rules has not worked out well for me. As a student, I have used varied methods for my language learning, and believe I have found a good medium between natural method and language tutoring. I have studied Nutrition and Dietetics, and am a registered dietitian as my day-job. I have too many hobbies, which besides languages include cooking, martial arts, reading, hiking, yoga, travelling, computers and technology, board games and video games, and more. Should you share any of these interests, I have no doubt we would easily strike up a conversation.

Having learnt about 10 languages in my life (to different levels), I know how difficult it can be to start, to keep on going, and to notice progress. I focus my lessons on students and what methods work best for them and what areas of language they want to improve on. Having done qualification to teach English (TEFL level 5), I use the same methodology in my classes - focus on one aspect of the language per lesson, with additional time dedicated for speaking practice. We can put together a study plan in the trial lesson based on your needs and goals, which will ensure we can track progress, have relevant exercises in class and homework to practise outside of class. The lessons are suitable for ages 14+, and for all levels, from taking first steps to improving fluency. Every lesson will include and encourage the student to speak and stretch their comfort zone to new levels. They include fun activities and games to make learning more enjoyable and memorable. There will be handouts with relevant information and exercises to keep on practising.
