I offer a free trial lesson to get to know each other and make sure the lessons will be suitable for your level (beginner, intermediate, advanced). After that, I develop a study plan for you to pursue realistic objectives and check your progress.

Perfect! Alex started working with my nephew, Katin, who is a university senior, for Spanish 3. Katin struggled to pass Spanish 2 and we knew he needed someone to work closely with him to help him get through his semester of Spanish 3. He met with Alex twice a week until his final.
At the beginning of the semester, Alex reviewed the syllabus and put together a plan with Katin to help him learn efficiently and effectively as the semester progressed. He was able to break down each section into manageable chunks. He made sure Katin understood the material before moving on. He would review each section before moving on and he also emailed additional resources to Katin to complete in between their sessions to help enhance the learning.
Alex is personable, professional, and a fantastic tutor. He is the reason Katin had no problem passing his university Spanish 3 class.
We would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs help with Spanish at any level.

Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?
I speak it fluently because I am a native speaker. However, when I learned English, being able to communicate to others from different countries was a fascinating experience. Furthermore, my teachers inspired my curiosity and love for learning languages, motivating me to enhance my fluency through continuous practice.
Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?
I would consider Gabriel García Márquez, Colombian author and Nobel laureate in literature to be an emblematic representative of the Spanish language and culture. His magical realism and masterful storytelling not only showcase the richness of the Spanish language but also capture the essence of Latin American Culture.
Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?
"Si no escalas la montaña, jamás podrás disfrutar del paisaje" Pablo Neruda. (If you do not climb the mountain, you will never be able to enjoy the landscape) It encourages us to face the challenges and difficulties that may hinder the objectives we set in our lives.
Why does speaking this language matter to you?
Languages can break down the barriers that divide this world. Since a language comes along with cultural aspects, it might become the window that can open our minds in a diverse world. Moreover, the number of Spanish speakers is increasing and it is useful for traveling, business, academic studies, arts, etc.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?
Most people are afraid of grammar and verb conjugation. However, consistent practice, immersion, and engaging with authentic Spanish content can significantly aid the learning process. Interactive activities, such as conversations, TV shows, music, reading books and articles of your interest can be fun and really useful.
Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.
When I was learning English at university, I had to participate in different plays in order to practice my English and perform in front of others. I learned to speak in public, perform and sometimes improvise in front of others. I was very shy and it helped me a lot.
How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?
I have traveled to other Latin American countries and it is very interesting how a language may vary when it is spoken in different places. I realized that not only culture but also many expressions and words are different. Moreover, traveling is essential to better understand those important aspects about cultures that are very different from mine.
What makes you a Superprof in language?
I am enthusiastic and passionate in teaching languages and effective communication. I really enjoy when I can motivate students to give their best to help them achieve their language goals. It is very important to me when students share their experiences speaking this new language for them.
