About Marion
After finishing my degree in English Literature, Civilisation and Language in Aberdeen, I went back home to Brittany, France and started teaching English and French to children all ages.
I also I have a diploma called BAFA, that allows me to work in summer camps and daycare. From day one my teaching style was all about fun and immersion.
I spend a lot on me free time working with different local associations, for climate justice or human rights.
My hobbies include sewing, reading, playing various tabletop and video games, cooking, and of course, travelling. I particularly love to hitchhike, and meet interesting people you never thought you would !

I have taught children of all ages, but have the most experience with teens and college students.
My class lessons are usually built around a specific vocabulary theme and common grammar points around it. I like to play games around new topics, but also discuss about important current events, or use videos and news articles to debate around a subject and develop critical thinking skills. My goal is to give you all the keys to hold a conversation with a native, which means learning slang or expressions you wouldn't learn in school, hear about all the weird French customs, and learn about all the accents !
I will listen to the student's needs and consider how I can expand on the themes they are studying already at school, filling the gaps between academic formal teaching and real life conversation vocabulary. Patience with the student's limits is the most important to me, and I want them to trust their ability to learn through our activities !
