About Cherise
I teach English to students across all proficiency levels from beginner to advanced. I’ll help you improve your English reading, writing, listening, and speaking communication skills.
I have expertise in increasing English language skills for the business environment. I'm experienced in the corporate business world selling technical products and services for industry-leading companies and have trained many people to communicate more effectively in their jobs.
If you're looking to improve your English within a business setting to prepare for an interview, to be more successful in your current position, or to advance your career, I would love to assist you.

Hi there! I’m Cherise. I live in California and I’m a native English speaker. I have a master’s degree in business, a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and over 15 years of professional work experience in business, architecture, and education. I have a passion for education that started early in my life as a mathematics teacher and tutor for primary and secondary level students, and continued as a trainer in my professional business career.
I have taught various subjects including Business, English, and Mathematics.
I’m certified to teach English as a foreign language and I’m currently teaching English online to beginner ESL students here in the United States. I'm also tutoring adults in Business English so that they can advance their careers. I love working with my students and find teaching to be incredibly fulfilling and enjoyable work.
I believe in creating a learning environment that is fun, engaging, extremely supportive, and moves at the student’s own pace.
I listen to students and find out what their needs are and their learning goals. We work together as a team to reach those goals.
I'm certified to teach ESL/ESOL, English Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening, and Public Speaking. I can assist students across various English proficiency levels, ages 10 through adult.
