"Truthfully, I find that teaching English is less about rules and more about helping people navigate their new surroundings. Holding a BEd in Second Language Teaching from York University gave me the technical tools, but 12 years of classroom work provided the perspective. I have taught 299 students ranging from absolute beginners to university applicants needing academic rigor. Building fluency for Canadian life requires patience and a direct approach.
