About Oliver
I’ve always enjoyed understanding how things work, and I believe learning is much more rewarding when you understand the reasoning behind a topic rather than simply memorising methods. My aim is to make challenging concepts feel approachable by breaking them down into simple, logical steps that suit each student’s way of thinking.
I want to teach because I find it incredibly rewarding to see a student’s confidence grow. Recently, I helped a student who had been struggling to reduce fractions, and seeing the moment it finally clicked for them reminded me just how much I enjoy explaining concepts and helping others succeed. That experience inspired me to begin tutoring more regularly.
My lessons are patient, encouraging and tailored to each individual. Whether you’re looking to improve your confidence, prepare for exams or strengthen your understanding of a subject, I’ll work with you at your own pace and help you achieve your goals.

Hi, I’m Olly, an Environmental Science student with a passion for STEM and helping students build confidence in maths and science.
My teaching style focuses on understanding rather than memorisation. I believe that once you understand why something works, the answers become much easier to remember and apply. I enjoy breaking difficult topics down into simple, logical steps and adapting my explanations to suit each student’s way of learning.
Whether you’re preparing for exams, catching up on topics you’ve found difficult, or aiming for higher grades, my goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where questions are always encouraged. I want students to leave each session feeling more confident than when they arrived.
I can provide support in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Science, helping students develop both subject knowledge and problem-solving skills.
