About Margot (Research Assistant, MSc)
Hi you! I’m Margot, a Research Assistant at Anglia Ruskin University and a recent MSc Social Psychology graduate from the University of Kent (UK), where I achieved a Distinction. I also hold a BSc in Psychology (2:1) from Université Paris Nanterre. Currently, I’m applying for PhD programmes, and in the meantime, I enjoy tutoring to share my passion for statistics and help students succeed. My research skills are highly transferable across disciplines, allowing me to support students in both the social and environmental sciences with data analysis, methodology, and academic writing. Lesson format: Sessions are typically 1 hour but can be extended to 2 hours if needed. Before the lesson: Please email me the topic you'd like help with (e.g., ANOVA, APA formatting, etc.) so I can prepare in advance. It’s also helpful if you can share any relevant school/university materials you’re struggling with — we’ll review these together during our session. What I offer: * Clear explanations of complex concepts * Essay feedback with constructive, actionable advice * Help with coursework, statistical analysis, dissertation, and academic writing First session includes: * A discussion of your goals and academic challenges * An informal needs assessment * A personalised tutoring plan and scheduling Final Tip: Don’t forget to look after yourself—get good sleep, eat well, and take breaks. Margot has provided me with very constructive feedback for my university assignments, focusing on grammar and phrasing alongside content and assignment structure. This has improved my assignment grades on multiple occasions. Margot also helped me quite alot in providing easy to understand explanations of psychological theory and methods of statistical analysis. Scheduling wise Margot is diligent with time keeping and slots me into her timetable, and i'm always happy that my time with her is secure, recorded and confirmed with her.
