As a Columbia College junior majoring in Environmental Chemistry (3.91 GPA, Dean's List), I tutor General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, and General Physics I & II — courses I aced and apply daily in active research at Columbia labs.
My approach is concept-first. Memorization fails on hard exams; understanding doesn't. I pinpoint exactly where a student is lost, rebuild from there, and don't move on until it clicks. Sessions are hands-on — you solve problems, I coach. No lecturing at you.
I took these courses recently enough to remember every stumbling block, and I'm doing the science in real research settings every week. Best fit for Columbia and Barnard undergrads in intro and sophomore-level chem and physics sequences — pre-med, science majors, or anyone who just needs it to finally make sense.
