About Joanna
In addition to my teaching experience, I majored in Spanish and minored in Global Studies at Temple University. I received excellent feedback from professors and was encouraged to pursue teaching, which I have loved. I also had a wonderful experience living in Mexico during my senior year of college, cementing my language skills and my love of the culture and the language.

I immerse students in the Spanish language as much as possible. I won't simply teach Spanish grammar and vocabulary - we will learn (in Spanish!) about Spanish culture, literature, history. We will also learn about your specific interests in Spanish, whether that be music, movies, TV shows, sports, or whatever it is that gets you excited! If you find language learning tedious, I will work with you to make it accessible and fun. A typical lesson plan will holistically include vocabulary and grammar in a creative and fun context. I teach elementary, middle school, and high school levels.
