About Jess
I am a full time second year physics student at University of Bristol. In my sixth form college, I volunteered as a GCSE maths tutor for two years, as part of a programme to help pupils achieve (or exceed) their predicted grade. I am happy to say that all of my students achieved or exceeded their predicted grades.
I achieved A*’s in core science, applied science and maths GCSE. I also achieved A’s in maths, chemistry and physics A level.

As a secondary school pupil, I was always scared to ask questions in front of a class full of people, and I know that others feel the same. For this reason I prefer individual teaching, where no question is ever a silly question and I can tailor each lesson to your specific needs. For STEM subjects I believe that the best way to learn is by doing questions, and it is only when you get questions wrong that you really start to learn.
I also believe that using creative tools to remember key concepts and equations is a brilliant way to learn and I love using anecdotes, diagrams and anagrams for each topic. I always encourage my students to fall in love with the subject they are studying, so that we can go beyond what the exam boards expect and achieve the highest grades possible.
