About Tom
Tom was full time teacher at a secondary school in Nottingham from 2012 until 2019. He has taught classes from year 5 to year 13 (ages 10 to 18) including GCSE maths and further maths as well as several topics at A-Level, including pure, statistics, mechanics and decision mathematics.
Tom graduated in 2011 with an upper second class honours degree in mathematics from the University of Nottingham, and then followed this up with a postgraduate certificate of education in 2012. He has been tutoring full time since September 2019.

Whether the lessons are face to face or online, I believe students should be inspired to learn mathematics. I motivate students by demonstrating the context in which the maths they are learning is used, to give them the big picture. And above all, I try to make it fun!
