About Ellie
Available to teach a range of subjects to varying educational levels, I am an enthusiastic humanities tutor with skills applicable to teaching a range of ages.
I recently graduated from university with a first class degree in Philosophy and History, so am confident in tutoring up to A-Level in both these subjects. Moreover, I received an A* grade in A-Level English Literature, which I will tutor up to GCSE. I also have a full TEFL qualification, therefore am able to teach English language and aid non-native English speakers in other subjects. Owing to my TEFL training and essay-based speciality subjects, I am more than happy to help with any questions students may have with essay structure, grammar, spelling and general proof reading of their work.
Teaching English to children as well as foreign language university students, and my own revision techniques whilst a studying has provided me with a range of teaching styles. I will implement content driven revision, improvement of exam and essay techniques as well as fun and games to keep students interested! I understand and have experienced the struggle of motivation and excitement that can come with being a student, however my genuine love for the subjects I teach and the way in which I teach them aims to inspire the same passion in my students.
