About Isabelle Cristine
Hi!!! My name is Isabelle and I am a final year PhD student in Cancer Sciences at the University of Manchester (UoM). I am passionate about science and have worked as a tutor on science-related topics since my undergraduate degree. For the past four years, I have been working as a graduate teaching assistant in Biology/Chemistry lab practicals at UoM and as an A-level tutor at the Manchester Access Programme (MAP), which aims at teaching academic writing to college students. I also have 700+ hours taught on different online platforms.

My teaching style is based on small presentations in a classroom-like environment breaking down scientific topics into simpler concepts followed by extensive practice of GCSE and A-level exam questions. I can help students prepare for GCSE Science/Maths and Chemistry/Biology A-level exams by tackling questions from actual/mock exams and teaching students strategies to best approach questions and consequently improve their overall marks.
Moreover, I'm flexible regarding the content of the tutoring sessions, which means I can both follow the exact curriculum of a discipline and/or reinforce specific topics upon request. I can also provide students with additional practice questions for alone revision, which I'm happy to discuss in future sessions.
