About Hema
I am a recent graduate from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Biological Sciences. I have a strong interest and good amount of knowledge in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Immunology, having studied modules related to these subjects at a degree level, however I also have a substantial amount of knowledge in other topic areas covered in GCSE and A level Biology.

I like to approach each topic by going over the fundamentals of each topic first and then gradually building up the knowledge, I like to watch videos and draw diagrams. I am a very visual learner myself and therefore like to take on this type of teaching method, creating diagrams to summarise the text. I like to test my knowledge of each topic by doing MCQs, essays, topic specific practice questions and creating flashcards. After covering each topic I like to go back and test my knowledge on topics covered perviously. I have used these methods all the way from GCSE level through to my degree which have proven very effective. I attended a tutor training day programme, with Coach Bright where I learnt how to properly structure a lesson and build a strong relationship with my student.
