About Ziyi (Zoey)
I am from Beijing, the capital of China. I have one year of training experience in International Chinese Language Education back in China. During that time I successfully taught more than 10 foreign children separately and helped all of them pass China's primary school entrance examination. Being warm, patient, and supportive, I am always the boss's first choice to train new starters in my daily working environment. All these training sessions I did at work have enhanced my eagerness to pass on my skills to others and I truly love to help people through their Mandarin learning process. Currently, I'm in a career-transforming phase so I have flexible schedules and plenty of time to prepare lesson content. My teaching method is to connect students' interests and hobbies to my class content. And students' expectations are always my priority. I will try to know my students first and design course content and structure accordingly. During the teaching process, I will constantly adjust the content or method to suit students' needs better. So please don't be shy to ask for changes or make requests because that would be of great help to your learning progress. The sooner you achieve your goal the happier I will be. As I was born in Beijing and moved to Melbourne for higher education, and have been living and working in Melbourne for more than 7 years, I totally understand the cultural conflicts and how challenging it can be for people to start to learn a new language. I will provide all sorts of support during the whole learning process with a positive and friendly attitude.
