About Quinn
I have 8 years of experience teaching English and hold a Master’s degree in English Literature and Linguistics. I have worked with learners ranging from beginners developing foundational skills to advanced students refining academic and professional communication. My approach combines structured skill-building with interactive, engaging methods to ensure learners gain fluency, confidence, and expressive capability.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, adaptability, and encouragement. I create lessons that are engaging, relevant, and tailored to the learner’s interests and learning style. Students are encouraged to participate actively, experiment with language, and develop their own voice.
Outside teaching, I engage with literature, media, and linguistic research to enrich lessons with contemporary and meaningful content. Supporting learners as they develop fluency, clarity, and critical thinking is deeply rewarding. My English lessons aim to enhance fluency, comprehension, and expressive ability in both speaking and writing. Lessons cover reading comprehension, essay and creative writing, grammar, vocabulary development, discussion skills, and conversational practice. I use storytelling, interactive exercises, debate, roleplay, and visual aids to make learning engaging and memorable. Each session is designed to build clarity of expression, confidence, and analytical thinking while fostering a love for language.
Lessons are personalized for each learner. Beginners focus on basic sentence construction, vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple conversation to develop a solid foundation. Intermediate learners explore complex grammar, paragraph development, essay writing, reading analysis, and structured conversation to enhance clarity and style. Advanced learners refine writing nuance, interpretive skills, sophisticated vocabulary, and professional or academic communication skills. Continuous feedback, practice exercises, and encouragement support ongoing improvement.
Beyond communication skills, English lessons cultivate critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression. Students learn to articulate ideas clearly, engage with texts analytically, and develop confidence in public or written communication.
