Hi there - my name is Abigail and I'd love to be your next English tutor!
I began my tutoring journey ten years ago in 2014, hoping to share my love for English, writing, and text analysis. Taking a holistic approach to tutoring, my focus is not simply on increasing grades - I hope to instill the confidence and drive needed to succeed in all areas and grade levels of both English and Literature. In my many years spent fostering a love for all things wordy, I've worked with students aged 3 - 18; encompassing everyone from people learning English as a second language, those seeking a bit of extra help with homework, students with additional and different needs, and superstars hoping to smash those ATAR exams.
After pursuing my bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at university both here and in Singapore, I completed my master's degree in Strategic Communication. I offer a comprehensive overview of topics ranging from text analysis to creative writing and beyond, whilst providing round-the-clock support for any pressing questions that may arise (especially as exam season rolls around!). I also offer additional support for public speaking and the speech-giving aspect of English classes.
I hold a current police clearance and can travel anywhere in the Perth Metro area, with online sessions offered if required. I operate on a 'pay-what-you-can' system, so we can find a rate that works for you and your family.
