About Tom

I have taught in high schools/secondary schools, language schools and given private tuition. I was awarded a scholarship in 2020 to train as language teacher in Valencia, Spain. Prior to this, I worked in London, teaching the GCSE syllabus. I also know well the TOEIC and Cambridge exams from my time in language in France and Spain. I am passionate about many things. Mainly, writing and reading, cooking and food, film and nature. Book a lesson and I can help you master English!

About the lesson

I have been teaching at Berlitz, a language school that is over a hundred years old. I use their method of combining vocabulary and grammar around a certain topic as well as providing a conversational approach. I like to get to know my student and discover their needs and interests in order to provide lessons that are engaging.

I've been having lessons with Tom for several months now, and it's going great so far! He is an attentive and caring teacher and he always knows how to talk about difficult topics in an interesting way. Tom is very good at explaining complicated terms and subjects in a simple and understandable way, and he stays patient even when I still don’t get it :) He knows how to turn learning English into something captivating, but still informative. I am very satisfied with my experience and would definitely recommend Tom as a teacher!
