About Maya
As a current university student studying English at Cambridge, I am immensely passionate about literature, with my approach to tutoring being to inspire students with the same fascination as I have. I believe that better outcomes in the exam hall start with confidence and passion for the subject, so my lessons are engaging and tailored to each student. Having only recently graduated high school, I also understand the importance of study and revision skills in achieving top grades, so my lessons include help with mastering the art of learning itself.

I have worked with students of all ages, ranging from primary school, 11+, English and history GCSE, to helping with 16+ entrance exams and interviews. Having tutored many different students for over three years, I understand the importance of an individualised approach that not only targets the student’s specific needs, but also gives them the study skills to become an autonomous student. For example, I often create interactive work packs for each student based on their goals that they can work through between lessons. My lessons are typically an hour, though I am flexible. I tutor 11+ entrance exams and interviews, English Literature GCSE and A Level, and primary school students in reading and literacy.
