About Marte
I have written fictional texts for over 10 years, and have worked with several amateur authors where I have reviewed their literary texts to improve their grammar, word selection, ease of reading and their prose. I have also done freelance translations for, among others, Veita in Tromsø, Skadi Adventures and academic texts for private individuals. I have had English 3 at high school (English specialization) and now study English at the University of Tromsø. I have a CPE level of C1/C2, which is the highest grade that you can achieve on proficiency tests. I therefore believe that I can do a good job of teaching you how to improve your writing skills and elevate them to new heights, whether you write fiction, academic texts, need help with translation, or just want general tips on how to get even better.

I start the course or the class with a conversation where we assess your level in English. We do this among other things by taking a CPE test, and then I tailor the program based on the results. Then we will look at a text of your choice and I will highlight any errors and areas that need improvement. Afterwards we go through the text in detail where I explain my markings in depth so that you can avoid similar mistakes in the future. I will also be available to follow up with later texts if this should be desirable.
If you are only looking for general writing tips, but explained in depth, we will have a one hour class where I give you a lecture on common mistakes and how to avoid these. Please inform me of what type of texts you are writing so that I can give optimal tips.
The tips and corrections I will be teaching you will not just be the regular tips you see flying around on the Internet, but tailored tips with in-depth explanations that you rarely find out there unless you are willing to pay much more than what I am offering you. My services are available for everyone, not just a select few people, and I will make sure that you get everything you need out of this course to better your level of writing in the future.

Jeg har selv hatt dansetimer med Marte og er veldig fornøyd med hvordan hun la opp timene. Marte er en utrolig dyktig danselærer og har mye utøvende erfaring i ulike dansestiler, i tillegg til å være en veldig flink koreograf! Jeg vil anbefale Marte på det sterkeste :-)
