About Olivia
My name is Olivia Monroe and I'm a student at Allegheny College. I have current experience with the college admissions process and was selected as a Questbridge National College Match Finalist, which is largely dependent on essays submitted as part of the application. I additionally have won multiple scholarships wherein large components were personal essays. Throughout high school I took many AP classes where essay writing was a main part of the course, including AP US History and AP Language & Composition. I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you to strengthen your essay writing skills!

I am a college student studying English with a focus on Education. I will teach you how to write an awesome college essay, personal statement, or even just a simple essay on any topic. I can also help you edit an essay you have already written and make it as great as possible. My lessons will cover good general writing strategies, structure in an essay, effectively covering a topic, sentence structure, syntax and word choice. My methodology for writing essays will center on the 1-3-1 paragraph technique, but I am well educated on other structures as well. I have consistently received extremely high marks on my essays and will work to make sure you have this same success. My tutoring will be best for secondary school students, especially high schoolers. Students who are taking any level of English class will benefit from my tutelage, but especially those taking AP Language & Composition or AP Literature.
