About Violet
Hiya! I'm a Palestinian international student studying a university course in the UK. I co-founded the art club at my high school in 2020, which has allowed me to enhance my teamwork capabilities and improve my individual projects as I build on the knowledge shared among my fellow students.
Primarily self taught in English, I’ve always been willing to improve myself. I have participated in a one year exchange program to the United States in 2019, allowing me to interact with people of many different backgrounds, improving both my English social skills and my leadership and tutoring skills through volunteering at fairs and with families.

The average lesson can be 1 to 2 hours. I always like spend time to learn how my student studies, their process and what engages them, so that I can craft a lesson plan that can be as enjoyable and as effective as can be. So, I prefer spending time getting to know my student, allowing them to speak on what they think they're proficient at, what they think they need improving and potentially how they think they might go by that.
I believe in using the interests and passions you possess to motivate yourself to learn, so I'd like to offer students a way to interpret what they learn in the activities they engage in. For example, when teaching English, I might ask a student to write down new words they've learned through watching movies or TV, and allow them to research those words organically between lessons and discuss where they can be used in spoken and written contexts.
