About Mitsuo
With roots in both Japan and Mexico, I spent my formative years in Mexico before relocating to Texas. My journey took me to mechanical engineering, where I delved into the field through my studies and a master's program.
After some industry experience at a millwork company, I found my calling in tutoring. This unique background has instilled in me a deep understanding and empathy for individuals from various walks of life and learning styles.
What I love most is connecting with people from all sorts of backgrounds. Now, I've set up shop in Houston, and I'm excited to bring my friendly and down-to-earth approach to helping others learn.

I utilize a grammar book for the lessons. Alongside this, I introduce reading exercises that we can explore together, with the difficulty of these readings tailored to the student's age and proficiency level.
Beyond these resources, I create customized worksheets for students to work on. These worksheets are designed specifically around their individual learning needs, focusing on the words and concepts that they might find challenging.
After assigning these worksheets, I make a point to revisit the difficult areas at a later time, ensuring that any misunderstandings are clarified and corrected. It's this iterative, targeted approach to learning that I believe truly helps students improve their Spanish language.
