About Roger
So, let me tell you a bit about my online English tutoring sessions:
SESSIONS:
• The sessions are typically 1 hour long, with flexible arrangements for an extra 30 minutes.
• We will only speak the target language (English or Portuguese) during the sessions.
• I will provide you a Google Docs link to be used during the sessions for real-time collaboration notes.
• An initial, informal 20 to 30-minute meeting in the target language before your first session can also be arranged as a good way to meet and greet.
• During our initial session, we will take some time to evaluate your skills and devise a plan to fit your goals.
Please follow our logistics protocol below regarding the equipment and space you'll be connecting with me from.

LOGISTICS:
• You must use a computer (laptop or desktop) for the sessions. No cell phones.
• Please make sure your equipment is ready (test your audio and camera, battery power, etc).
• Please be situated in a quiet, comfortable, and well-lit space, free of interruptions, distractions, or background noise (phones and alarms ringing, pets, family members, street traffic noise, etc).
• We can work with Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, WhatsApp, etc. Whatever platform you’d prefer.

GOALS:
• We will do our best as a team to accomplish your goals in a fluid, flexible manner that strengthens and complements your language studies, not as a substitute for it.
• The sessions will be mostly based on informal conversations intended to develop and advance your language comprehension, and oratory skills with attention to grammar, pronunciation, and cultural nuance.
• The content of our conversations during the sessions will be private, flexible, and always focused on your goals.
• No commitments required. New sessions will be scheduled at the end of each session. We can schedule as many sessions as you wish according to time availability.

PAYMENTS
• US$20/hour + $10/each additional half-hour.
• For now, payments must be made through PayPal transfers at the end of each session.
• Monthly subscription plans may be available and can be designed according to your needs. You can cancel your monthly subscription at any time. However, no refunds will be provided for canceled and/or any remaining unused sessions.
