About Abbie
In my lessons, you will meet a calm, adaptive tutor who is willing to go the extra mile to support you in achieving the best that you can. I am currently completing my Secondary English PGCE and hold a degree in Psychology. I have a vast amount of experience in SEND, SEMH, and complex behavioural needs; having worked with students with a range of backgrounds and needs, I am happy to meet you where you need me to, and adapt to your needs.
I am experienced in teaching to the AQA exam board, having experienced it myself, and teaching it in my current placement. I can help you know what is required of you for each question and how you can revise best for your learning style.
In my own GCSEs I achieved grades 7-8 and C and above in A-Level. At degree level I achieved a 2:1 and have been offered QTS from my PGCE.
I bring my enthusiasm for my subjects and a passion to help you achieve your personal best that is vital in tutoring.

I am offering specific, individually tailored English lessons for students of KS3, KS4, and KS5 level. Whether that be some support in improving general English skills in preparation for KS4 or specific exam assistance in the lead up to GCSEs or A-Levels. I can bring calm and stability to an otherwise stressful time in your school journey.
Overall, I can guide you through your exams and help you feel prepared for your upcoming exams, or just more comfortable in your subject. My lessons will always be tailored to your individual needs and I am happy to take time outside of lessons to prepare individual resources. I am happy to provide personalised feedback and targets for improvement along the way.
