About Dash
Hello, my name is Dash Drury! I recently completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (2023), obtaining a flawless aggregate high score of 45/45 (99.95 ATAR equivalent) and thus placing me in the privileged position of being in the top one percentile of students globally. I am starting a Bachelor of Asian Studies at the University of Oxford this October (2024).
But I don't just have the qualifications. I have the passion too! I genuinely want you to do well, and will help you achieve your personal best no matter what that is: catch up on course content, stay ahead of the pack, or just feel confident for your upcoming exam, you name it.

I can also help students plan their IAs by assisting them with drafts and polishing their final IAs. If you are not an existing student of mine, you can still send your IA/EE/assignment to me for feedback. Bespoke Mathematics Internal Assessment Mentoring:
I successfully completed the most notorious IB internal assessment (the Math IA) in the hardest level of IB math, Analysis and Approaches HL, and obtained an exceptionally high score of 19/20 (highest in school history), positioning me among the top percentile of IA students worldwide. I help students select an excellent topic for investigation, plan the task and polish their final IA. My students create outstanding explorations that typically involve in-depth research, their individual interests, authentic engagement and real-world application.
UK University Applications:
An a University of Oxford student (2024-2028) who has successfully gone through the UK University admissions process myself, I can help students navigate every aspect of the application process with confidence. Drawing from my own successful application, I can help students craft compelling personal statements, master university interviews and admissions tests, curate powerful written works and understand the ins-and-outs of the Oxbridge application process. Dash has been such a helpful IB math and English langlit tutor - I’m so, so grateful I found him - he has been a total game-changer for me.
Back in year 10, after everything shifted online due to COVID, I was struggling big time with math especially. But then I started tutoring with Dash.
Dash was able to explain complex concepts and math questions in the most intuitive ways. Classes were also very tailored to my needs, and Dash did an excellent job at marking my written responses and showing me how to perfect my answers, allowing me to consistently get high marks (top 10% in class).
Most importantly, Dash was very generous with his time. He has always been there to help with extra difficult questions and give feedback on my work (even outside of class hours!). In IB exam time, he would always spend time giving me practice/past papers and exam tips. In the end, I went from 49% in year 10 to getting a 7 in math AAHL and English at the end of year 11
