About Annabel M
I am a very passionate English Literature student who is enthusiastic about helping others. I am looking forward to being able to help students feel more prepared for their exams and studies, with the hope of enabling them to achieve the highest grades possible confidently. As somebody who struggled with the stubbornness of grade boundaries and vagueness of critiques from my teachers all through education, I understand the frustration and academic pressures faced. I aim to create a supportive and constructive environment which you can develop skills required for your subjects in a way which works best for you.

My lessons will typically be an hour or two hours long, whichever is most suitable for the student. I am offering help for primary and secondary school students, including both GCSE and A-Level students, to gain a strong understanding of key topics and practise analysis and writing skills effectively to improve exam skills and confidence. I achieved 6 and 7 in both English Literature and English Language GCSEs and an A grade in English Literature A-level, and I have previous experience with tutoring reading and English skills with younger students. These all help me with working with students to help them achieve the grade they are aiming for. I am confident in my knowledge of effective revision methods and approaches to English as they helped my grades go from Cs to As, which has positively impacted my degree experience and confidence in my studies. I will work on these techniques and skills with my students to help them achieve the same.
