About Thomas
I’m currently a 3rd year undergraduate in English Literature at the University of Southampton. I have been involved with tutoring since starting university. In the past I have volunteered as a representative for my course and supported students with their work. I have been prided on my ability to excite a topic which may at first seem a little challenging.
Before university I took an access course in Literature, Psychology and Sociology in Chichester which is where I'm originally from - Big game nerd, informal style of tutoring and an attentive listener. I have aspirations of pursuing a Masters in literature or philosophy, most likely in London! I also swim and take yoga twice a week!

My weekly plan is to find out exactly what you are learning, the texts you have been set and specifically what is required of you by your curriculum so that I may address the areas you would like most support in.
My role is to provide a main line of support for you through your course. As an undergraduate, I understand what is expected of you from your teachers and the painstaking feeling of playing catch up!
I aim to encourage students to think about the discussions they are having in class in a broader cultural context. To understand how topics such as science, politics, money, gender and race all connect to literature, and how English, with the right imagination, can be applied to any vocation.
My goal is to provide the best supplementary education possible for yourself or child and deliver it in a way which inspires a genuine curiosity for learning and a love of literature.
