About Lewis
I am an English Literature student (graduating 2020) at the University of Glasgow with classroom teaching experience at a top London secondary school.
I have an A* GCSE and A grade A-Level in English Literature.
I am currently in my final year as a student of English Literature at the University of Glasgow, and graduate in July 2020.
I worked for a year as a teaching assistant at the West London Free School in London, offering both classroom and one-on-one tutoring and support to children with a range of abilities.
Many of the children I worked with in this position have gone on to study at top universities such as the University of Glasgow and Oxford University.
I have also worked with children on the First Story creative writing program, helping them to hone their creative talents.
I enjoy working with children and am a reliable, dedicated tutor.

I work one-to-one with students to help them improve on areas they might be struggling with at school. I offer reassurance and concrete plans for improvement in reading, essay writing, creative writing and public presentation skills.
I am flexible with my teaching methods and goals, and will tailor my lessons to the needs of the individual. This means I am happy to work on areas such as reading comprehension, essay writing, creative writing and public speaking at any level of ability.
A typical lesson might focus on any one of these areas. In one session I set a meaningful goal, and guide the student towards achieving that goal. Depending on the student's needs I might set small pieces of work for each session. Over a series of lessons we might work towards a larger goal, such as writing a complete essay or story.
I am also happy to help with any English Literature schoolwork the student might need help with.
