About Maisie
My name is Maisie and I am from Cumbria! But as of right now, I am currently at University studying English BA. English has always been my favourite subject as it allows students to express themselves creatively and encourages us to think analytically about various subjects, from diving into different texts from a range of historical contexts, to learning how people of different ages speak. I received a grade 6 (B equivalent) in GCSE English Literature and a 7 (A equivalent) in English Language, with a B in A-Level English Language. I hope to share this passion with students when I become an English Secondary School teacher, but right now, as a student myself at University, I want to help those who may be struggling with exams or with their overall confidence in English as a part-time personal tutor!

The lessons will take place on Microsoft Teams (online). I will take a list of English language/literature topics that the student hopes to improve on and we will spend 1-2 lessons on each topic. We will spend 10 minutes at the start of each lesson doing a quick quiz on the previous lesson. Each lesson will be an hour, and the price will be £10 per lesson. First lesson is free - we will go through what your goals are and how we will work together to reach them! And then we will jump straight into learning!
