About Amy
Hi there, my name is Amy and I’d love to be your new tutor! I’m born and raised in the United Kingdom. I am currently a student at the University of Liverpool. I have recently completed my Year Abroad teaching Spanish students between the ages of 3 and 17 years old the English language. This was a fantastic experience and something I want to continue. If you’re looking to improve your English communication skills, learn key phrases, native idioms, improve your English grammar skills - I would love to be the one to help you! My own experience of learning Spanish for the past 8 years has proven that it is important to find creative and fun ways to learn a new language. I like to tackle each class based on each individual child’s needs. I often start my classes by reviewing the previous class content to ensure my students are absorbing and understanding the subject. I like to use flash cards and physical materials to engage my students - to make it more creative and unique! I find that students tend to concentrate more when given a variety of methods and things to focus on.
One of my mottos for class is: walk away, having learnt something new. As long as my students have developed their skills or understanding of a topic, I recognise this as progress!
