About Anna

I am a professional English teacher with a CELTA qualification from Cambridge University. I have been giving lessons online and in-person since April 2020 to students from all over the world. My experience includes working in an ESL college in Ireland, where I taught two classes of different levels; private one-on-one classes, group classes and working with charities to help migrant people improve their English for living and working in the UK.

I am a strong believer that language learning is easiest when you're having fun! In my first lesson I will get to know you, your language goals and what topics you are interested in, so that I can create a unique programme for your learning. I believe everyone learns language in a different way and my lessons will be tailored around your unique learning style. My method is to always teach language in context. My classes will include text, audio or videos, as well as a lot of authentic materials such as newspapers, blogs, songs and TV shows. This will allow you to experience language like a native. When teaching grammar, I use the 'guided discovery' technique, helping you understand grammar through context and tasks, rather than just remembering rules. I also have experience in phonology and can assist you with your pronunciation and accent, if this is an area you want to work on. I have a very friendly and communicative approach to teaching, so I will always encourage you to give me feedback on what and how you would like to learn. I look forward to meeting you! :)

Anna was my English teacher during 2 months. She is an amazing teacher and I have made a lot of progress. Moreover She is a lovely person, very cheerful and always trying to find interesting topics to discuss. She was the perfect teacher for me and I recommend her to everyone who wants to make progress in English.
I am participant in program speak to improve my English, before Anna class ,i took two courses , it was in period in lockdown and after that i took anna course, honestly i can't compare , Anna style completely different , anna tries to do her best and, respect the time, has knowledge of everything that the word knowledge mean ,
she able to make nice weather between the subscribers builting in the respect , , i recomend Anna becues as i took 2 course onlin and three normal course in the most famous school in lisbon Anna was beneficial and you can't feel any boring she was generous provid me almost 30 session with out any charge , i am thankful to Anna
