About Tara
Hi! I'm Tara! I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Communications with Creative Writing and Journalism, and a Master's degree in Photography. My main passion is for all kinds of Journalism- especially editorial and photography based!
I have always loved English Language as a subject, ever since primary school when we wrote stories and poems- and I believe it is a subject that anybody can learn to love with the right teacher! My enthusiasm is transferable and I am determined to make others see how exciting English can be!
Having also been a student of the Arts, I understand the importance of making creative, colourful, and interactive tasks and presentations to help children learn, and how beneficial engaging in the arts can be to more academic subjects!
I am also starting a teaching qualification this September, to become a full time, qualified teacher!

My lessons will be engaging, exciting, and based all around the child's individual needs. Being a graduate, I have had many years of experience writing academically, creatively, and journalistically. I have also had many different lecturers and tutors and picked up various teaching methods which I can adapt for each child.
I am more than willing to go through homework assignments given by the school, and proof read them, help your child complete them (to the best of THEIR ability) and give positive reinforcement when they succeed. I will create tasks and fun, engaging activities to boost your child's confidence. I also focus heavily on grammar and spelling, so can not only help your child construct a piece of writing, but also go through grammar, syntax and spelling with them in detail. I am open to working with your child in relation to anything based around English Language.
I strongly believe that there is no set style for teaching that works for everybody, so as a tutor I want to learn your child's style of learning and work with them to achieve the best results possible in a way that works for them.
My lessons are for both primary and secondary pupils (up to GCSE level), and will be either one or two hours each, depending on each individuals personal needs, wants, and goals.
I achieved an A in my English Language GCSE, and I am determined to help your children achieve their target grades!

Tara is really amazing! Always pushed me to use my photography skills and taught me how to explore in this field is such a practical and fun manner. I found it very easy to follow her lessons and teachings.
