About Lydia
As a native Chinese speaker, I got my B.A. in Chinese Language and Literature and my first M.A. in Comparative Literature and World Literature from Nanjing University, China. Now I am studying English Literature in Victoria, Canada. I have a good command of both Chinese and English, and I believe I have enough ability and resources to lead you to a better level of both the language and culture.
I am also a bookworm and a big film fan. I love spending my spare time in cinemas, galleries, bookstores, and public libraries around the world. Join my lessons, and I can be both your tutor and good friend!

Hi there, I'm Lydia, a Chinese native speaker now studying in Canada.
My teaching objective is to help you improve your Chinese reading and speaking ability and also do some Chinese-English or English-Chinese translation if you want. I will provide you with a relaxing and inspiring learning atmosphere and a personalized class design to satisfy your own needs.
I will lead you to read anything you are interested in, recommend Chinese literature canon or interesting Chinese films, inspire your interest in anything Chinese, or help you correct your Chinese accent. For a typical lesson plan, I will read some well-chosen Chinese materials with you, practice some daily conversations with you, or practice anything you prepare.
I can teach lessons to students aged 12 to 18 and also to adult students who want to improve their Chinese language skills and learn more about Chinese culture and literature. I have rich teaching experiences as a part-time Chinese tutor during my B.A. and M.A. degrees in Nanjing, China. Choose to learn Chinese with me; you will not regret it!
Don't worry, I can teach and talk with you both in English and Chinese. You can choose the language you prefer.
