About Ioana
Hi, I’m Ioana, a recent English Literature and Linguistics graduate from Queen Mary University, with a deep love for language, stories, and helping people find their voice. I’ve always been attracted to English literature for the life, lessons, and symbols that are inherent in every story. I love the meaning that literature communicates, and how every individual has their own interpretation of the same story. In literature, there is no right or wrong—only opinion, which needs to be justified and supported with evidence and literary knowledge. While studying English Literature at A-Level, I was very fortunate to have a teacher who not only helped me understand the material, but also added fuel to the flame of my passion. I remember how she made it fun by allowing our own interpretations to feel like deep detective work, encouraging us to uncover meaning in both obvious and hidden ways. However, before this, I know from personal experience that English can feel confusing or frustrating—especially when school feels rushed or overwhelming. That’s why I tutor: to offer a calm, fun, and supportive space where you can ask questions without pressure, and actually enjoy what you’re learning. I want to help you not just pass, but understand English in a way that builds your confidence and makes sense to you. Every student learns differently, and I’ll meet you exactly where you are.
