  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Since the time of comic books from school till date I have always found myself very confident in English speaking. It makes me feel more comfortable hence I decided to develop a strong proficiency in this language, which is a valuable skill that can open up various opportunities for communication, learning, and personal growth. Short pointers on how I developed maximum interest in English speaking:
    1. Early Exposure:
Diving into English through cartoons, books, and chatting with English-speaking toys-formative years were basically a linguistic adventure zone!
    2. Educational Background:
Surviving English classes with flair, where grammar lessons felt like undercover missions, and writing assignments were quests to conquer the language realm.
    3. Cultural Influence:
Binge-watching English movies, grooving to English tunes, and decoding the language of global pop culture-because who needs a passport when you've got English vibes?
    4. Personal Motivation:
Fueling English confidence with superhero-like aspirations-saving the day with words, battling communication villains, and dreaming big in the language of champions.
    5. Practice and Usage:
Engaging in the epic quest of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English-where discussions are duels, creativity is a magic spell, and content consumption is a feast of linguistic delights.
    6. Positive Feedback:
Collecting praise for English skills like shiny power-ups in a video game-boosting confidence levels to superhero proportions for the next language level.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My passion for teaching English burgeoned from my profound experiences with diverse groups of learners. Engaging with junior students in school and extending my outreach to underprivileged children in government schools opened my eyes to the transformative power of education. The pivotal moments occurred during my involvement with NGOs dedicated to imparting knowledge.

The sheer joy of connecting with these young minds, witnessing the sparkle in their eyes, and being a catalyst for their intellectual growth has been nothing short of exhilarating. It goes beyond mere instruction; it's about fostering a love for language, instilling confidence, and kindling a curiosity that transcends the classroom.

These experiences, laden with emotion and profound connections, have prompted me to embrace the art of teaching English with a newfound sense of purpose. It's not just a profession; it's a journey of empowerment, a commitment to bridging educational gaps, and a source of boundless joy derived from the simple act of making a difference in the lives of these incredible young souls.
  • How does your work help society?

Teaching English is more than a job, it's a heartfelt commitment to transforming lives, one student at a time. Beyond traditional classrooms, I connect with the resilience and eagerness to learn in underprivileged children.

In the intimate setting of my home, I guide the children of my domestic help, not just academically but towards personal growth. Witnessing their academic achievements is gratifying, but the true magic lies in the subtle transformations - instilling confidence, nurturing aspirations, and being a source of inspiration.

In the digital realm, my journey on the Superprof platform is a beacon of connection and progress. Each virtual session becomes a shared adventure, breaking geographical boundaries. Positive reviews echo not just teaching methods but the profound impact education can have on shaping lives.

Teaching English, be it at home or online, is a symbiotic relationship - a tapestry of shared dreams, overcoming challenges, and the joy of witnessing individuals move forward against all odds. This journey is about empowerment, forging connections, and contributing to the collective progress of a community.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

When I reflect on a role model for my work, my mind goes straight to Mrs. Shubra, my first-grade teacher. She wasn't just an educator; she embraced us with the care and warmth of a second mother. Mrs. Shubra went above and beyond, ensuring that each of us had a sturdy foundation in our studies. She didn't clock out until she was certain we were equipped with the knowledge to thrive.

Mrs. Shubra is more than a teacher to me; she's a beacon of dedication and compassion. Her commitment to laying down a robust educational foundation has left an indelible mark on my approach to teaching. Inspired by her, my goal is to instill that same solid groundwork in English for everyone I teach, just as she did for me and my classmates.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Beyond the world of teaching, I dive into vibrant hobbies that add spice to my life! Picture this: I'm not just a teacher; I'm also a tennis ninja, swaying gracefully on the court with my racket as if engaged in a dance-off with the ball. When I'm not acing serves or orchestrating epic backhands, you'll find me lost in a literary labyrinth, exploring diverse worlds through the pages of books. I'm that person in the cafe corner, sipping on a cup of creativity, hopping from one cafe to another in pursuit of the perfect blend of ambiance and caffeine. But it doesn't stop there! I'm a self-proclaimed culture detective, engaging in lively conversations with people from all walks of life. Call it my hobby, but I'm on a mission to decode the mysteries of various cultures, one chat at a time. Whether it's unraveling the secrets of someone's favorite dish or understanding the nuances of a local tradition, I'm there, armed with curiosity and a genuine eagerness to connect. And then, there's my passport, the magical ticket to my ultimate hobby- traveling to places that are not just on the map but have stories waiting to be discovered. From hidden gems to offbeat destinations, my wanderlust knows no bounds. After all, life's too short to stay in one place when there's a world full of adventures to be had! Shorten this in a fun way.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

In a chapter of my professional journey, I found myself in a government school filled with children of varied ages, navigating an environment where sternness overshadowed support. Undeterred, I stepped in to teach them English, becoming a beacon of warmth and encouragement in a sea of harshness.

As the days unfolded, my connection with these young minds deepened. Beyond English lessons, I addressed topics that transcended textbooks, including personal girl hygiene, a subject neglected in their academic landscape. The impact was palpable - a gentle spark of empowerment flickering in their eyes.

When the time came for me to bid farewell, the raw emotions poured forth. Tears streamed down their faces, and heartfelt pleas echoed in the air. The girls, especially, voiced their desperation, sharing how the guidance provided was a rare beacon of hope in their lives.

Even as I left, the echoes of their cries lingered, and their tearful requests haunted my thoughts. In the aftermath, the updates I received painted a bittersweet picture. These students, who once cried for me not to leave, now shared stories of triumph. They credited their academic success to the English lessons and the essential life skills imparted during our time together.

This poignant episode stands as a testament to the profound impact that education, infused with compassion and practical knowledge, can have on young lives. It serves as a reminder of the responsibility we bear as educators to not only impart knowledge but also to nurture the holistic growth of our students, shaping resilient individuals who can flourish against all odds.
