About Sonali
I have been teach for IB and IGCSE for about 3 years. I have an MFA in Creative Writing from City University, Hong Kong and an MA in Linguistics from Delhi University.
Writing, reading and analytical skills go a long way in helping IB and IGCSE students because these skills are useful not only in English, but also in other subjects that demand extensive essay writing. Therefore, I help students develop an interest in good writing and realize their own unique strengths in the area.

I love to read, watch films and documentaries and have a keen interest in physics and mathematics. Studies suit me very well. I want my student to enjoy reading like I do, though they can read the things they like. I have had students for German who read Harry Potter in German after two months of starting lessons with me.
In my lessons, I encourage students to think for themselves and ask lots of questions while they figure things out on their own. I am essentially a guide rather than someone who hand-holds the student. That said, I give lots of exam tips and help students structure their studies so that they do well on their tests.
