About Vini
I am a student at the University of Edinburgh studying English Literature and Philosophy (MA Honors), with a passion for reading, writing, and helping others develop confidence in their ideas.
I understand both the academic demands students face and the strategies that can help them succeed. My love of literature extends beyond the classroom into creative writing and being an editor on the Edinburgh Student Literary Journal, and I enjoy helping students discover their own voices as readers and writers.
Whether you are looking to improve your grades, prepare for exams, strengthen your essays, or develop your writing, I would be delighted to help you achieve your goals.

My goal as a tutor is to make English Literature feel engaging, accessible, and rewarding. I help students move beyond memorizing interpretations and instead develop the skills to analyze texts independently, build strong arguments, and write insightful, confident essays. Every lesson is tailored to their individual goals, whether it is improving grades, preparing for exams, strengthening coursework, analyzing literary texts, or even developing creative writing skills.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and combine close reading, discussion, essay planning, exam technique, and targeted feedback. For writing students, lessons may also focus on technique and finding a distinctive authorial voice. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging with texts.
I am currently studying English Literature and Philosophy (MA Honors) at the University of Edinburgh, having achieved a 42 in the IB Diploma (with a 7 in IB HL Literature). Alongside my academic studies, I have a strong background in literary analysis, academic writing, and creative writing.
I work with students from secondary school through pre-university level. I also offer support for IGCSE, IB English Literature and Language & Literature, A-Level, creative writing, and general coursework and essay-writing support. My aim is to help students achieve excellent results, and also build lasting confidence in reading, writing, and critical thinking.
