About Priti
I am a writer and qualified teacher having worked in school settings for thirty years. I am also a recently published author and poet; BEd hons in English and Drama, MA English; and a passion for acting and creative expression.
I have been a writer since I was 7 years old, I produced and directed my first play at 10 years of age at primary school and my passion for writing led me to undergraduate studies in English and Drama, followed by a Masters degree in 'twentieth century literature' and until last year a PhD in creative writing (under scholarship).
I am passionate about creative process and writing and whilst in Australia I acquired the support of a literary agent, Jeni Caffin who was then director of the Byron Bay writers festival.
Community work with children, local language Projects, drama, gym, and aerobics. Enjoyed travelling around the world - Australia, USA, Thailand, India, Brazil and Europe. Recently published in an anthology, 'Hidden Sussex' available on Amazon and interviewed on BBC radio Sussex. I am also a linguist and have a command (varying degrees of fluency) of five languages.

I have taught students from age 5 to adult and I am a very personable and inspiring educator. In the word of Kalil Gibran, 'If the teacher is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind.'
I aim to develop and challenge you to enthuse and inspire a greater confidence in your own abilities.
