About Jaye
My name is Jaye and I am currently a PhD student of Women's Studies the The University of York. I have successfully completed my MA and Undergraduate degree in an English-related subject and have achieved associate fellowship in Advance Higher Education. I also have experience teaching in University settings both online and in-person. I strive to inspire all of my students to develop confidence in their academic work and to have autonomy over their own learning journey.

I strive to be a supportive and compassionate tutor who inspires a level of academic confidence within all of my students. I believe that students should be in control of their own learning, meaning that teaching should be catered to individual students based on their learning needs. In my experience students learn effectively in a teaching environment that is student-led, meaning that as long as students are supported, they are free to discuss their own ideas and have autonomy over their academic work life. I therefore use a range of techniques and teaching methods depending on the student's needs. I have achieved a Distinction level qualification in MA in Creative Writing and an undergraduate qualification in Creative Writing and English Literature. I have also completed my associate fellowship in Advance Higher Education and have experience teaching classes at University level. My sessions would be appropriate for A-level, Undergraduate and MA level students of English and associated subjects. Sessions are usually one hour long.
