I took English Lit and Lang and Classics at A level and am at university;I am in my first year. I have lots of free time, and especially because of COVID I have nothing else to do to pass time. I love reading and going for walks.

I will approach teaching with the following. First of all; what are the strengths and set backs of the students knowledge/ abilities. Secondly, provide tasks to develop fluency skills, to ensure that what they wish to express will be understood and received as well as it can be. And finally, the most important is thinking / critical skills. This last one involves encouragement of broader topics; for example, in literature thinking about the idea of the metaphor and how the language we use once meant something completely else. From this example, what would need to be done next is relate it to the the text or question which would have to be about: duality, meaning/semantics, literary devices, importance of literary language in literature and English as a language. I hope I have explained myself coherently.
