About Thabile Priscilla

I am Thabile Priscilla Makhubu a well motivated person. I wanted to be teacher because I really admired my Grade 11 teacher Mrs Songo even after I left her class I would return to her for advice and guidance over the years. Its that sense of warmth and acceptance she provided me that inspired me to become a teacher. I wanted to be that person others can lean on as they navigate the rough waters of growing up.

About the lesson

Using Poetry to teach Reading. 1. Activate prior knowledge - Students are most receptive to new learning when they can connect it to what they already know. Poetry provides a quick and fun way to do this.
