About Sam
For those reading this, I was born surrounded by math (my dad is a Mathematics professor, and I've been looking at algebraic equations since the age of 3). Currently an undergraduate pursuing engineering at NUS, I love math and the way numbers twist around to do funny things, as well as the way you can manipulate them to do things for you. I can usually make people smile within the first 10 minutes of meeting them, and I take the opposite approach to learning. I will tell you about your capabilities, depending on the mistakes you make, and how those mistakes will help you grow! I did my schooling abroad and was in the top 1% in my country for the national exams. I scored 100% in math in all my exams because I developed strategies and plans that no one else knew about. Apart from math, I also LOVE reading and swimming, and became a black belt in Karate at the age of 15. Ever thought numbers were annoying? That they keep slipping off your fingers and rolling off your head, and you have no idea how to go about it? That no matter how hard you try, how much you practice, how well you apply the formula, it's always that one decimal point that shifts to the right and that one negative sign you always miss? Never fear, because my lessons will aim at making you feel like a natural at numbers! I will delve delicately into concepts, teach you tricks to solve your questions in seconds, and make you forget that I am your tutor, but rather someone with whom you can discuss your problems (mathematical mostly!!!) with. I can assure you that you won't doze off, but rather ask for more questions and more math after you're done with me! I will aim at honing your skills tailored to the PSLE, and when you are doing the exam live, you will feel like you were born to do it! Look forward to lots of fun, and fascinating exam techniques that no one will tell you!
