About Tanya
I am passionate about STEM and have always enjoyed understanding how the world works around us. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and inspiring students to strive to understand concepts rather than just rote learning formulas. I have tutored privately for several years and have also volunteered my tutoring services for local community centers so I am confident in my teaching methods and I really enjoy meeting new students who I can help!

I aim to teach students with methods best suited to them. The key is to first understand concepts and then apply your knowledge to practice questions. Just learning how to do a question in isolation does not always guarantee understanding so I really aim to provide a solid foundation upon which students can confidently tackle any question!
I am happy to alter lesson timings best suited to students as some thrive with shorter lessons while others need longer sessions to feel comfortable with topics. I'm passionate about teaching Maths for all ages - including VCE Methods. I also teach general Science for students up to Year 10 and VCE Biology 1/2 and Physics 1/2.

Perfect! Tanya is a wonderful teacher, extremely patient and passionate about teaching.
She worked so well with my son who has ADHD and really cared how he went in his exams.
She followed up with his results and actively worked on cementing the fundamentals he needed in maths to grow his self confidence. She also worked with him on his mistakes and was really helpful with flexibility around any obstacles that came up.
