About Olivia
My name is Olivia Diz. I’m originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and have lived in uruguay as well. I am an engineering student at the university of Exeter, where I am enjoying this unique and exciting opportunity of living in England.
The main reason I want to tutor is because of my IB Physics tutor. He taught me that in many cases, if you find yourself struggling with a subject and disliking, it’s because you have a bad teacher. Every subject contains the tools to see the world in a different way and to be able to grasp this, one must be lead by someone who’s passion can be transmitted through lessons. I also understand how the stress of an exam can affect a students ability to study so I can modify my lessons to different conditions.

My teaching methods allow the student to understand even the most complex topics. By implementing real life examples, sample exercises at the end of every session I allow the student to visualize the concepts and not just see them as words on pages. I also implement diagrams, images, photos, and graphs of the concepts to further this imagery aspect. I believe that, for a student to do well in a subject they must enjoy it, even if it is just a tiny bit. I will make this my mission.
