About Brooke
Hi! I’m Brooke, a recent high school graduate with a passion for learning, leadership, and helping others succeed academically. I have experience in English, writing, reading comprehension, guitar, and STEM through robotics and technical programs. I’m patient, organized, and approachable, and I enjoy creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them feel more capable and motivated in their learning.
I have worked as a coach, mentor, tutor, and peer during my high school career, giving me experience working and teaching students of all ages and backgrounds.

I am a recent high school graduate with a strong background in English, writing, reading comprehension, STEM involvement, and leadership through robotics and technical programs. My approach as a tutor is centered around making students feel comfortable asking questions while building confidence and independence in their learning. I believe tutoring works best when lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, learning style, and pace rather than relying on memorization alone.
My teaching style focuses on breaking down difficult concepts into manageable steps and helping students understand the “why” behind what they are learning. I use examples, guided practice, discussion-based learning, and real-world applications to make lessons engaging and easier to remember. I also encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and develop strategies they can continue using on their own in school and testing situations.
A typical lesson usually begins with identifying what the student is currently struggling with or wants to improve. From there, we review concepts together, work through examples step-by-step, practice problems or writing exercises, and then finish with a quick review of key takeaways and strategies for improvement. I aim to keep lessons interactive and encouraging so students feel supported rather than overwhelmed.
As a recent student myself, I understand the pressures of school, testing, and balancing multiple commitments. I focus not only on improving grades and scores, but also on helping students build confidence in their own abilities. My experience in leadership, communication, robotics, writing, and collaborative projects has helped me develop strong problem-solving and teaching skills that I bring into every lesson.
My lessons are best suited for middle school through high school students, including students preparing for classes in English, literature, reading comprehension, writing, introductory STEM subjects, and guitar. I also enjoy helping students with essay writing, organization, study skills, and college application preparation. Lessons can be adapted for different skill levels and learning styles to help each student succeed.
