Hi! I’m Josiah, an engineering student and dedicated tutor with a passion for helping others master the technical side of STEM while understanding its real-world impact. Teaching Methodology and Techniques
My teaching approach focuses on developing a deep understanding of concepts through structured problem-solving and real-world application. I use the “explain → demonstrate → practice → reflect” method:
Explain: I begin each session by breaking down complex ideas into simple, digestible parts using analogies and visuals.
Demonstrate: I then model problem-solving steps, showing not just what to do, but why each step matters.
Practice: Students work through similar examples with guided support until they can apply the concept independently.
Reflect: We conclude with a review of key takeaways, identifying where the student improved and what to reinforce next time.
I also adapt my lessons depending on learning style—some students learn best through diagrams and visual cues, others through practice and repetition. I incorporate interactive tools (like simulations or MATLAB/Python coding exercises) when useful, especially for engineering and science students.
