My name is Romy, and I am an ENGINEERING student at McMaster University. I am a high academic achieving student who is passionate about teaching mathematics and science to younger students. I focus on breaking down topics in a clear step-by-step way and, most importantly, building confidence in my students. I’m patient and supportive and very committed to making students feel comfortable with math and their grades.

I like to teach my students with the reinforcement method, meaning my favourite part of teaching is the example portion. I believe the only way to gain knowledge of a math concept is to work through various problem questions on it. I like to let students approach the question, and then I can expand and correct the ways they have demonstrated to me.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I come from recent experience and understand the methods that teachers have started to take.
I prefer using visual explanations over wordy ones.
