About Joshua
During my senior year at high school, I used to tutor students ranging from elementary school to high school mathematics as a Mathnasium instructor. This experience allowed me to understand different students and approach their unique ways of learning. I believe it is more rewarding for the student if I spend more time than given in a class period to address one topic if there are potential concerns or misunderstanding of certain topics.

1. Get to know the student's level of initial understanding of the concept (pre-test, practice problem)
2. Develop step-by-step method of how I would approach problems within the concept.
3. Have the student practice step-by-step method toward similar practice problems.
4. Oversee progress and make adjustments to learning process when necessary (adjust in approach to best fit the student's style of learning)
5. Have student attempt more complicated problems within the concept to work toward mastery.
6. Test the student's progress of learning and mastery of concept with exam-like questions.
7. Repeat process if necessary.
