About Samuel
Your mind is a very powerful tool, and I hope to be able to help show you that. In my personal experience and time helping others, I have seen many people (including myself) surprise themselves by understanding a concept they thought they never could, and then remembering it several months later. Although I do not have any professional training (I am a student just like you), I know what works. Using my own techniques, I was able to score a 5 on AP Statistics, AP Calculus, and AP Chemistry during my senior year of High School. More importantly, though, I had the privilege of seeing those I had helped succeed in their STEM classes, and that is what I hope to do for you. I know that learning is individual, and I will do my best to meet your individual learning needs as your tutor. Learning can feel slow at times, but that is just the brain warming up. With the right level of repetitions and focus, you can watch as your learning 'takes off' and experience the joy that comes from improving yourself.

I have always loved being able to help my peers succeed in subjects that they were previously intimidated by or struggled with, and I hope to be able to help you in the same way. Whatever the problem you have is, I will do my best to start from the beginning; simplify the concept, and explain when, how, and what it will be used for. If you are interested, I can even give a quick overview of what the concept you are struggling to understand will be used for in future classes or careers. Finally, I will walk you through any example problems that you have or come up with some if you need. I believe putting the concepts into practice is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, and a more engaged environment fosters better learning. I am able to help with anything in mathematics from Algebra 1 up to Calculus 1, as well as Statistics. I can also help with anything from AP/High School Chemistry. I look forward to helping you succeed!

Samuel is one of the best tutors I have had. He is patient and will teach same concept different ways until it clicks. I was 18 years out of college, and he helped tutor me in math. I received an A at the end of the semester. His knowledge of Math and Science are very strong. I would recommend him as a tutor.
